Africa, with its 420 million youth aged 15-35, holds the world’s youngest population. Shockingly, one-third of these youths are both unemployed and discouraged, while another third find themselves in precarious employment situations. Only one in six enjoys the stability of wage employment. Additionally, youth unemployment rates are approximately double those of adults, with variations among different countries.
In our mission to drive sustainable development, we prioritize several key initiatives. Firstly, we aim to establish programs that empower individuals with essential skills and digital literacy, equipping them to access employment opportunities in the ever-evolving digital age. Additionally, we are committed to promoting research and development efforts focused on sustainable technologies and resource-efficient practices within the technology sector. Collaboration is at the heart of our approach, as we work closely with governments, the private sector, non-profit organizations, and local communities to forge effective and inclusive partnerships that drive sustainable development initiatives forward. Lastly, we advocate for the widespread adoption of digital platforms and e-governance tools to enhance the efficiency and accessibility of public services, ensuring that progress is felt by all.
