Futuremap Innovation Hub, in collaboration with Makuba Centre for Arts and Culture and the Kano State Government, is transforming Gidan Be Minister, a century-
old building, into a modern innovation hub that embraces 21st-century digital technology. This project aims to establish an Innovation Hub at Gidan Be Minister, leveraging the historical significance of the building as the first craft school in Northern Nigeria.
Kano’s tech ecosystem currently holds a prominent position in West Africa, ranked 11th according to StartupBlink. With the highest number of tech startups in Northern Nigeria, Kano State accounts for approximately 26% of the total number of Tech startups across the northern part of Nigeria. Recognizing this potential, Futuremap Foundation is also planning to establish another innovation hub in Abuja.
